Our story

Built around steadiness, not breakthroughs.

Anchorgrove is a small practice with a simple conviction: lasting change is made of small, repeated acts of care — not single dramatic moments.

How we started

One borrowed room, one belief.

We started in a borrowed therapy room, working with people who'd tried to “push through” their stress and found it only tightened its grip. What helped them wasn't intensity — it was consistency. Five honest minutes a day. A weekly letter to a younger self. The patience to let trust rebuild slowly.

That experience became our whole approach. Today, Anchorgrove is a small studio of trauma-informed practitioners holding the same kind of steady, unhurried space — in person and online.

A cosy, plant-filled consulting room with soft natural light.

What guides us

Five values we keep returning to.

Value 01

Safety first

We move at the pace your nervous system can tolerate. Slow and steady is not a failure — it's the method.

Value 02

Plain language

No jargon for its own sake. If we can't explain it simply, we keep working until we can.

Value 03

Small & repeatable

We design practices that fit a real, busy life — because consistency beats intensity every time.

Value 04

On your side

From inner work to access paperwork, we're an advocate, not a gatekeeper.

Value 05

Dignity always

Every person who walks in is met with respect, agency and the assumption that they know themselves best.

Value 06

Evidence-led

Mindfulness, somatic work and reparenting, drawn from what the research actually supports.
